In my quest for a quieter exhaust for my T5 was thinking about adapting a P2 one to fit. I know the manifold differs, but I have a couple of T5 Sitoplus exhausts and was thinking about doing a a cut and shut job on the pipe at the exh port end.. for that to work the basic shape of the P2 & T5 exh would need to be the same with the pipe running up to the port in roughly the same place, before I go out and find myself a donor P2 exh anyone know if they differ much?

why not buy a new standard t5 exhaust and save all the hassle of cutting & welding , the weld never lasts very long anyway you say you have some sitoplus exhausts as well ? i take it the baffles have gone on these they do not last long ( 2 years max) before being noisey after all the exhausts i have tried on my p125x with DR180 kit . pm tuning ( loud and only power at high revs ie have to trash it ) simonini ( loud and not a good fit came undone at head moved and melted new rear tire ) second hand sitoplus ( baffles gone and bike ran crap from loss of back pressure) the standard exhaust is the best for normal every day riding and last well

AFAIK can't get a standard new exh for the T5, but yeh, that is exactly what I want, only found the ones you mention plus the LeoV. The Sitoplus on mine is still rust free but the baffles rattle and it had a fracture on the bend, got another one that has gone in the same place, v poor quality! Won't go with the Sim or a PM as I know the noise is going to annoy me more than the Sito hence my idea of the P2 exh, as they are pretty quiet and must be about the same as the genuine T5 one from a back pressure point of view..

Nice one mate presume it's a non gen one as they don't say, tailpipe is different to the OE and to long to be a Sito, I'd better give them a bell, they are sending me my Malossi kit and a few other bits next week, could be another package in the delivery now
