hi, first time post so be gentle with me. I have just ordered a new px 125 and when i get it i am taking those horrible mirrors of the headlight cowell, does anyone know where you can buy new ones without the holes in where mirrors go. Last time i had a vespa i just took the mirrors off and left holes, but i am older now and bit more of a fussy fart

Welcome to the site Mike. I don't want to sound like a party pooper here mate, but if your scooter comes off the production line with mirrors fitted as standard, it's actually illegal to ride with them removed. Having said that, it doesn't stop an awful lot of people doing it. You can get headset tops from most dealers that advertise in Scootering or, a cheaper and easier alternative is to buy some of the black plastic stoppers that go over the holes once you've removed your mirror brackets. I agree that the standard circular PX mirrors are disgusting, that's why I went with the fully road-legal option of replacing them with some nice stadium mirrors instead. There's a photo of my PX on the left hand side of the homepage, and on the Readers Scooters page at www.vespa.org.uk/spencers%20px200.jpg so you can see what they look like.
