They run out of most things round those parts ... if you're seen sporting a pair of Levis (or Lee would do it) and a loaf of Hovis you're a king, upgrade to Kingsmill you're a legend. Poor folks Eeeeek.

wot kind of name is thingwall??? they run out of ideas over there? f**king heathens. Thingwall, like many of the place names in The Wirral, stems from an old Viking word. In fact, its roots are exactly the same as those of the Isle of Man parliament, the Tynwald. Many village names end in the suffix -by, from the Viking word for village eg Irby, Pensby, Greasby (formerly 'Greavesby, or village of the Greave, Greave being similar to Lord of the Manor who in this case was called Dunning. There remains to this day a pub in Greasby named after him), or more exotic sounding places such as Thurstaston (from the Norse for Thor's Stone). The Wirral Peninsula was one of the few places in England that Viking settlers decided to remain after the rest of the country became Saxon. In fact, there was a huge battle in the Neston/Parkgate area between the Vikings and the Saxons, in which the Saxons got their arses well and truly kicked. Wikipedia eat my sh*te. Anyway, back to the thread. Saw a very nice metallic green and white modded up Lammy in Stamford last Sunday, don't suppose it was anyone on here was it?

Fingers crossed for good weather! Actually sirscoot, i wonder if you could clear something up for me? The bike i have laid a deposit down on (Vespa PX125 - 57 plate, so its one of the last to come off the production line with only 700 miles on the clock) has a simonini racing pipe fitted to it. Although i like the idea of added performance im a little worried that the bike will be really loud and i dont want to p*sh off my neighbours too much. Is this true or are these pipes reasonably ok (sound wise that is)? The bike in question is at 'Ron Daley Scooters' in Barnsley so i havent actually seen it in the flesh as im down in Brighton. Cheers mate.

There's loads of threads in the technical section about exhausts. Have a browse.
