hi, i am new to the forum and scooters in general.
i am looking to buy and old vespa for a restoration project, what should i buy and from where? i am from the north east.

Ebay is always a good starting point to see what variety is out there.. are there any models you like the look of? particular era? budget?

As Bryno says Ebay's a good place to check out variety and possible prices, but it's not necessarily the best place to buy. Getting in with your local club is a good idea because you're less likely to get ripped off by someone you'll be seeing again on a regular basis.
Also, have you passed a bike test? If not, you need to think about what size engine you're looking for (125cc or less) and whether you need to get a CBT done.
