Occasionally want to use my sat nav unit on my T5, was thinking there must be a way to feed a 12v cigarette lighter socket into the electrics somewhere to power the unit. Guess it would be a bit easier if the T5 had a battery, but can I just run a spur off the lighting circuit to an aux socket? I guess although the current is not as regulated as if running from a battery, should still be adequate to power up the unit.. hmmm... any ideas?

Why not just stick a charged up battery in the buttybox?

you can fit a battery and charging unit to the T5 and power your GPS from that, it's the set up that people used to use for their stereos, I think that they're still relatively simple to get. Try Turners for more info.
