i have recently put a 200 engine on my scooter which has stood for a while, i have also put on a pm evo pipe, it starts and idles great but when riding it it doesnt seem to peak at the top end of the gears and just doesnt seem to run that well any help appreciated

had a pm evo pipe on my p125x ( dr 180 kit) only got a good band of power if you really thrash it otherwise it was crap so i put the standard exhaust back , i think it needs setting up in a race tune form by pm tuning ?
(ps a lot of questions get no answers on here)

Worth cleaning the carb out if you have not already done so... You may need to change the main jet to work well with the new pipe, just try going up a size, see if that's any better, carb jets are only a few £'s so worth experimenting..  PM should be able to advise you on what size to try.. |

if the motor has stood idle for any great length of time i would have renewed the plug and ht lead before even starting, also cleaning the carb should be a top priority, it only takes a small amount of dirt to cause big problems.
