sorry if this is a stupid question but,just bought an old vespa sprint,bloke at garage said mix 50ml every litre...downloaded original manual which says mix 2% oil to fuel...who'z right?

2% is correct, get yourself a measuring jug from the scooter shop

many thanks smallframe....will any harm come to engine after running with 50ml per litre(i adhered to first instructions & mixed 5l with 250ml) again sorry if questions appear obvious but really am novice to 2 stroke!!

1000ml to a litre
100ml per litre is ten %
50ml per litre is 5%
I'd just buy a little 2% measuring jug and forget the maths.

sussed..thanks,but will the excess oil mixture cause harm or will i get away with topping up with say 3l petrol to thin out over heavy oil?  |
