I recently bought a 1979 vespa P200E from a neighbor kid for 20 dollars! His dad was making him get rid of it so I took it off his hands. After cleaning it up a bit and replacing the battery it runs great. The crazy thing is that it came with what I believe is an original sidecar, trunk option, and front windshield attachment. It also has just over 1000 miles. I'm not sure if that is much for a scooter but that seems extremely low for a 79. It also has the shop manual from 1979 as well. The only issue was a dent in the front fender which I am replacing right now. I was just curious to see if anyone knew what these things sell for. I know they are pretty popular and with gas prices going up so much scooters are in.

Welcome. I take it from your use of the vernacular, and the purchase amount in dollars, that you're on the opposite side of the Atlantic to most of us. In which case, I can't tell you what Vespas go for over there.
But what I can tell you that $20 is ridiculous, and 1000 miles is nothing for a 1 year old scooter, let alone a 30 year old one. There is of course a chance that it's been right round the clock and started again.

To your first question; No, not unless there was a female stripper hiding in the side car. $20, amazing.
