Any thoughts on the following issue would be greatly appreciated 'cos I havent got a clue whats going on....
My office carpark is a lovely sunny gravel-covered quad hidden away behind the buildings of central London, and no-one who uses it (biker or car driver) has any issues with their vehicles parked there. Apart from me and my T5 Classic - this is what happens at the end of a working day when the thing has been left there for 8 hours or so:
When the weather is sh*te and I have the bike cover on, it'll start first time every time.
When the weather is sh*te and I have the bike cover off, it'll start first time every time.
When the weather is brilliant and I have the bike cover on, it'll start first time every time.
BUT, when the weather is brilliant (as it is today) and I have the bike cover off (as you'd expect in weather that doesn't demand it) i'm probably going to have to bump it for at least 20 yards down the road before it even considers coughing into life!
Why?!?

Heh heh - you think tough love is the way to go then!
What makes this problem even weirder is that this only ever happens when it's left in the work carpark - it starts easily when left covered/uncovered in rain or sunshine anywhere else....

The only variable here seems to be the exposure of said scooter to direct sunlight and heat. Try parking it facing the other way, thereby shielding it from harmful sun-rays. I've not the faintest idea whether that will work or not, but what's the harm? If it works I'll eat my pork pie hat.

Have you tried sprinkling magic pixie dust on it, either when you leave it, or on your return to it?

It does sound really weird but there is obviously a temperature related problem here, certain variables must combine to get something on the scoot a little warmer than usual, maybe a dry solder joint on something ............just a thought. Gareth
