Hello, people! Yet another new kid on the block, but we've all gotta start somewhere, eh? Now for a li'l bit about myself. I've just tured 16, so I've been on the lookout for a genuinely cool scoot, not some horrid, nasty little hairdryer as my first runabout, and all my hard hours of internet/Friday-Ad/Loot trawling paid off, resulting in my putting a deposit on a 50 Special! Things I like doing in my down-time; Air Cadets, shooting, go-karting, rugby and tinkering with all things mechanical. Latest greatest achievment was fixing a lawnmower with a couple of bulldog clips and a sock, not that anyone really wanted to know that... Aah well, I was happy with it. Here's a few pics of the mean machine itself. These are around 5 years old, before it was imported from Italia. Decals and mirrors have come off since. Oh, it was registered here, too. More pics will come as & when. Anyhow, looking forward to meeting you guys! Cheers, folks! Oli PS Mods, I'll email you lot some slightly better pics of me with the beastie to put on the Reader's Scoots page; I'd prefer not to use these...

Welcome young man, nice scoot, she sure is pretty. What's with that little cover thingy on the speedo? Not seen that before.
Congratulations on the lawnmower too.

Welcome Oli, I'm glad you've managed to secure yourself what looks like a nice little scooter. You've taken the first step into a brilliant scene, and I'm sure you'll be the envy of hundreds of 16 year-olds out there.

Not that keen on the graphics but other than that it's a right little beauty. Good stuff.

Thankfully the graphics have come off since those were taken... By the way, there isn't a speedo. That little black fella's just a cover to stop rain from getting in and wrecking the electrics. I'm hoping to get a speedo off Beedspeed at some point, just to see how much I'm irritating others behind me. I doubt if I'll need to check whether or not I'm breaking any speed limits! Cheers for the compliments, by the way. Can't wait until tomorrow; I'm off to Eastbourne to pick the thing up!

Yeah, really pleased with it... By the way, I reckon it should be christened Gino. Seems quite suitable, I think.
(Never mind me, it's a family tradition to name modes of transport. Currently got an Audi A4 Avant Quattro 2.5 TDi, which goes like stink, but happens to be a horrible green colour, so that got called the Snot Rocket. We've also got a bright yellow 1961 BMW Isetta 300, which Mum decided to call Lucy Lemon. Look up pics of Isettas and you'll see why. Poor Lucy...)

Makes sense... Hopefully ol' Gino's not gonna be like that, else the starter's not gonna be the only part I'll be kicking... A fellow Scrubs fan, eh? Good man! What was Sasha again? (Scrubs, and yours, out of interest.) I can never remember what JD rode...

Sounds good, but I think I might build up my confidence with my 1966 Vespa 50 N engine, in my '73 Spesh. Wonder how that came to be... Still, 30mph top speed means no speeding tickets, at least!

Yes, that flipping law. How annoying.

Before anyone gets the wrong impression, I agree that the law needs to be enforced, but it's the way in which the law is enforced, not to mention the amount of stupid little laws that serve no purpose but being a stand-in for common sense that really wind me up.
Anyway, this is a scooting forum, not a political forum.
