Hi All
I'm Tony - new to the site, scooting round birmingham.
at least i was until some no good took my prized p125x off me drive while i was sleeping.
so been out and got a new chain and am about to get a p200e thats registered as a 125 - can i get away with riding this on my provisional with CBT? assuming all the paperwork says 125 i should be sweet, shouldnt I?
Cheers Tony

Take it to a scooter-friendly garage when you need to get the MOT done.
I took a certain Mk1 T5 (that a certain friend was riding on L plates) for its MOT at a Vespa specialist - no names no pack drill - after it passed he said "Did you know it's actually got a 152 kit on it? Strictly speaking it's not learner-legal". Picture of innocence me. But he knew the score and wasn't going to start getting arsey about it.

Sorry to hear about your scooter getting nicked. Any disciption or distinguising marks? you may get lucky one of us on here may spot it or do you think it may be kids who will thrash it around a field and burn it out as happened to me a few years ago.
Get yourself a bike cover for the new one, if you haven't got one already. I had a few of the local chavs eyeing my pride and joy up so i got a big chain and cover no problems since.

cheers for the info chaps
stolen bike is a white 1981 p125x wirth crash damage down the left hand side (as you sit on it), no park light and scratches in a circle round the tool box lock - every day I thought "where on earth are these scratches coming from" then turned the key attached to the metal key ring. d'oh.
missed out on the p200e so looking for a t5 - anyone hears of one in solihull / w. mids etc pls shout - have got a want ad on here too.
gonna get a cover but nothing to chain it to on my drive - apart from the wheeley bin. i recon that even tho its light and plastic and that it'll make it unwieldy & loud for nocturnal theives.
beauty of a scoot is being able to jump on it and cut through the traffic. it seems like clipping its wings to cover and chain it.
ho hum. such is life i suppose

Have you thought of putting a ground anchor in your drive?
