Hello all
Just joined the site as I'm looking for information really. I currently own a VFR motorcycle but am now looking for a different kind of ride and am thinking about a Vespa GTV 250. Most of my riding is commuting to and from work which is about 15 miles in total a day. I know the Vespa will do this very well. My concern is if I want to go on a slightly longer journey, say some 150 miles. Are they comfortable for that sort of distance and what is a good cruising speed...do I need to stay away from motorways??
It's a big step and I would appreciate your comments. Test ride is tomorrow and I'm also considering the MP3 although I kind of think that's a bit quirky...

In terms of long(ish) journeys I can generally manage around 40 miles on my T5 before taking a break to allow all physical sensation to return to my arse and genitals!
Having said that i've read some fantastic reviews of the GTV 250, although i'd think twice before taking it on a motorway (as I would with any scooter) - you don't quite have the steamlining that you get on motorcycles, making them less comfortable at higher speeds. But i'd imagine a 15 mile commute would be no problem.
