Hello all, I'm looking for some advice on getting a pre '80s scoot for my wife to learn to comute in/on. Any good advice on models to avoid or look for and general bits n bobs you have gained and wish to share.... I'm looking to spend about £500 and I reccon that should buy a ok scoot with short mot. A project would be fine as I'm good mechanicaly (my usual is aircooled volkswagens ;D), if you have something you think may be suitable pm me, and I'm up in Aberdeen.

Oh well I've done it now, finding what looks to be the right scoot (plenty of character, ie breaking down all the time ) I blew the budget but since when have classics been cheep! Its a Vespa Sprint Veloce 150 but I will be changing the barrel/piston to a 125 untill the missus passes her test so I may well be loitering about here for a while now. thanks for the hello's Paddy
