Lets go out and shoot the horrible little b*st**ds and their parents.
If your wires have all been cut and not ripped out then electrical crimps from the likes of maplins will link them all back together.
really sorry to hear yor news - keep the faith

Do they have pets? Go round and stamp all over them, see how they feel when someone destroys something they care about. P155 ANT5.

Unbelievable the little scrotes!!! don't give up on it, the wires should be pretty easy to reconnect, as smallframe says, electrical crimp connectors will do the trick cheap and easy, sure you will know someone to help with that, or better still solder the wires back together and use a bit of heat shrink wrap to insulate them after, gonna only cost a few ££'s in materials.. plus the new grips etc.. hope you get it sorted soon!

just to update you
-managed to get the very nice man who sold me the bike to fix it-he did my vespa up after it was set on fire and i purchased it of him-he totaly re stored it,and once again hes saved my little E.T .he bought some parts in scooter shop and soldered wires back together-i was lucky cos some of the wires they had tried to melt and they pulled out a wire under the seat that lead to the engine-he reckoned they were trying to set it on fire or something but luck was on my side as they didnt manage to reck the expensive part! feww.
ive had no trouble untill last few months ppl keep trying to do things to it-its been pushed over a few times and now has dents on side and various scratches...makes me so angry!
but this was far the worst...im moving house in 2 weeks so im hoping theres no idiots around there-but am unsure where its gona go -as i dont no if i can keep in back garden-its a flat so ppl might kick off-any security suggestions for street parking?

Glad to hear your good news.
I remember an article a few years ago in Scootering about an alarm system that had a proximity detector that would shout a warning if anyone approached your scooter. It also had a remote control so if you saw someone messing with it you could activate it, or even immobilise the engine, from a distance. It cost £100 fitted, which may sound pricey, but it's only got to stop scrotes from wrecking your scooter a couple of times and it's paid for itself. Unfortunately I've been going through all my back issues and can't find the article. Maybe you could ring your insurance company and ask if there are any alarm systems they endorse, which would also bring your premiums down.
Failing that, a cover that fastens underneath the scooter is cheap and can be surprisingly effective, as lots of scrotes are just too bloody lazy to get on their hands and knees and try to undo it.
I'll keep looking for that article for you.

hey thank you for that
ive got an immobiliser fitted so the only way to start it is with the key but they arent really trying to steal it-just wreck it! i dread looking out the back every morning to see if hes okay!! ive had so many covers ive lost count -no matter how much i spend they either rip it to shreds so pull it off somehow and sometimes it just vanishes!! im thinking of getting obne of those disc locks that go on the tyres ,ive got a hefty chain and then il try another cover and then an alarm system probably! god i mean i shouldnt have to to this!some ppl !!!

Are you not concerned about the possible spread of rabies Hollis?
