Check the age and shape of the tyre, could need replacing.

It's non Vespa stuff, otherwise I would do... Just bang it into second gear and ride around real slowly, staring at everyone. Would look like a music video...

I'll second that... No scoot on the road, sheds choka full of sh*t I could do with selling and I have no takers. No room, no cash, no build..... 😤 That aside, I'm okay really... 😎

I'll be honest Alan, don't know if there will be one this year full stop.... 😩

I have to ask as I can't work it out, what is the benefit of having a twin spark plug cylinder head, as opposed to using a bigger (brighter or iridium plug) spark plug and several base gaskets?? I feel like I'm opening a big ol can of worms here (or one of those fake cans with the springy snakes...), aside from it looking pretty frigging mean, is there any real benefit, or was it just a Tuning thing in the eighties because the technology wasn't quite there?

Yep I know what you're going for now. I've seen that look at hot rod shows, but that seems like so long ago.... 🤔

I remember you mentioning those knotted thingies, they are still in my watch list for when I am ready to strip my thing... If you build the clearcoat up, I can't see why it won't be as good to be honest. And to be fair, by the time you managed to get it in the queue to be dipped, you could have stripped it yourself. I guess you are going for the ultimate mod scoot then instead of chromating the whole frame??? 😁

That is going to be a pain in the arse.... Are you looking to have all the dents knocked out and have it straight as a die? A mate of mine used Nitromors and a scraper to do it, but I'd go for some sort of media blasting (which doesn't mean hitting it with a rolled up copy of the times....). I suppose you could always scotchbrite it?

Only way is to pull them out and read them. There usually is a lightly stamped number on the jets theirselves.

Misread it, those are more offensive ones... PM Tuning do quite a nice exhaust, fairly quiet too.

Pretty sure mine was a cast iron Polini and it was absolutely lovely. I had quite literally worn my Malossi into the ground with the Miles I was doing and I had to switch it for the Polini. I have to say that I wasn't as quick off the line, but it did give the sloth longer legs and it just seemed to run smoother (but that could be old age and total b*ll*cks that last statement... 😆). I genuinely do not have a preference between the two, they were both bloody brilliant.

Hi, I recently bought a scoot and I'm unable to start it, I'm not getting a spark from the plug but it was running 2 weeks prior to purchase. What is the most common fault for not getting a spark? Did you get anywhere with it?
