Hey all,
I have had to strip and clean my carb in my Vespa, all good...
Everything is back in place and starting fine.
I am struggling to get the bike running properly though, I have adjusted the fuel mixer slightly and the timing screw following some YouTube videos but unless I have the choke out slightly I can't seem to get it to run properly. I did have it running fine with the choke slightly out.
I have tried to adjust more so I don't need it out but when I use the accelerator it seems to flood it, causing it to almost stop... I can't seem to get it right and the mixer screw is the pain in the backside one that I had to bend a socket to adjust, it's a pain.
Any tips on the best way to do it?
Thanks.

Hello there. first if bike timing was ok before you started put back where it was. It sounds like it might be sucking in air and giving a weak mixture did you put new gadgets in which you should always do.get a piece of flat bar the stuff with holes in and cut a square in one end the size of the mix screw then bend the end over like a corner. it works good.mix screw about one and a half turns out good luck.

Hi big problems when you start messing with the air mixture jets unless you have done it a few times before yes go back to original settings and Mark it with paint or scratches !! Have you tryed the air filter drilling 5/8mm in the hart shape of your filter make's tuning a hole lot easier! Might have to go up one on the main jet! But try as is and we take it from there !! Don't worry and don't mess with the air mixture jets just the main one okay best foot forward soulboy74 👍
