I was stripping some parts ready for sandblasting, when I noticed the small switch hole for the electric start on a bottom headset. Took a look at another one, and at first glance they appear to be the same. As far as I am aware, the handlebars are the same, so is the only differences where the switch screws on? If so, I could use an electric start one on a non electric start model, and either grommet the hole or silicon it up (welding skills aren’t any good… 😕). Does anyone know any better?

Well roger me slowly with a rolling pin… That may mean I might have a couple for sale soon. I’ve been gathering parts for some time now, and I never did look properly until last night… 🙄🤣

Should I have the electric start hole on my mk1? was thinking of maybe wiring one up as a cut out switch.

Look underneath on the right hand side, there should be one hole about 5mm wide, with a small hole on each side. If you haven’t got any holes there, I would be happy to swap for the one on yours? Turns out I have a couple, with the holes for electric start…
