... the indents on the panels? Was thinking of filling and getting an all in one rear light/brake/indicator set up. Pics would be helpful .

Had mine done for years all done with expensive filler by by painter.
Never thought about welding a plate until they were finished..
Mine havent cracked other than were they normally go, the filler work is still perfect.
I kept standard indicators on my panels
Ive done SIP tunnel rear lights

I like the tunnel rear lights, but it’s bloody expensive if you ask me. For two bits of exhaust pipe anyway… I’ve got off of a mate of mine a Lucas ST51 rear light to put on one of mine, but mines the black double light:- www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com/replica-rear-lamps-shop.phpWanted to go for a different look, although I am being swayed into a ‘bike tank’…

78 they didn’t, but what if let’s say an 83 hasn’t been tested for 15+ years? It’s technically gone ‘off the radar’ with no digital testing history, most people wouldn’t know, so would they test a P range with no indicators from the early eighties? 🤔

The hard and fast rules are on the gov. website. I seem to remember that indicators are mandatory post 1986. However, each garage seems to make its own rules up. Some comments Ive had from the testers when I have queried the rules include: "I cant test what isnt there", and "if they are fitted they have to work" Once when my indicators were playing up on my 1978 P200e I taped over them. The tester grudgingly passed them but warned me he wouldnt next time.

Will look quite neat. Have been spending ages trying to get the seam in the rear of my frame straight and pronounced, wouldn’t it be sh*te if we were all the same…. 🤣🤠
