Standard PX 125 heat at the head reading

NOW I am getting a heat reading device that goes into the spark plug socket for temperature of the engine so not to go to hot hot hot !! Now what is the normal heat range for my standard PX and what is too hot ? Best foot forward soulboy74 peace and merry Christmas

I personally wouldn't worry about it, just something else to worry about, I had a temp sensor on my bgm motor and removed it after a short while, because it's just another gimmick.

I wouldn’t try to touch it with my hand while running, but I know for certain, it’s too hot to lick it… 🫠

Each to their own, totally agree with above.
A stock 125 with correct jetting and timing is already set up. Vespas are used in far far hotter countres than UK.
Ive never had issue with overheating on bikes that are correctly set up.

Boxing day ride out to check the temperature device !! After setting it up on the plug and gone for a good few miles it's sitting at 45c !! But soon as you switched it off the temperature gauge rises up to 65c about right for a standard ish PX 125 !! Must be the air cooled system that reduces the temperature buy about 20c while running !! Well happy with that set up cool 😎 dude is the best way forward soulboy74 have a great New year dude's

Glad it's working, however it sounds like a very low reading.

Yes I agree with you low ish just waiting for the chance of a real run out to see how high it goes after that 👍 going to try the sensor part on a fin by the exhaust port ! Was told you get a true reading around there!! Best foot forward soulboy74 peace and joy for the new year
