Hi have recently got a lml star deluxe 2T and I'm putting an vespa p200e into it. On the log book it says make SD. It should say make LML and model Star deluxe. I sent the logbook back with a letter pointing it out but I got a letter asking me to get a letter off the manufacturer and send it to them and I can use it as a SD in the meanwhile. They sent me the logbook back as the Make SD. The manufacturer shut its factory some years back they don't make LML no more. I tried to get it on my insurance but they said the info is wrong on the logbook to contact the DVLA. The frame number comes up as a LML star deluxe 2T and the engine. DVLA should have check this and found this out. When I put the frame number in google search I get LML star deluxe. DVLA want me to get a letter off LML to prove it's a LML 😆. WTF am I going to do

Speak to the Vespa club of Britain, they should be able to help you. vespaclub.uk/I admit, personally I think they are next step to f**king useless (asked them for help over the years), but I know other people have had good experiences with them… 🤠

You can put your problem to the enquiries department,
DVLA Driving Licence/registration Enquiries:
Telephone: 0300 790 6801
Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm
Saturdays, 8am to 4pm
They will either advise you or put you in touch with the relative department. You need to tell them LML are no longer in existence and this is a project rebuild one route is to complete a V627/1 form vehicle re-build or they may advise another way. But what I will say be prepared to be waiting on the phone a long time, took me around 50 mins to get through. Hope this helps😉👍.
P.S can see where your insurance is coming from, especially if you had an accident and your insurance became void that could bite you on the arse hard. Just like kitting a scoot up and registering it as a 125, its naughty basically committed fraud, DVLA and Insurance.
