Got back from the iow yesterday and noticed the scooter was bogging down in 2nd. Riding home though it was purring like a kitten, sat at 60-65 with 2 thirds throttle left to play with. I have a malossi 210 sport with standard carb drilled out, fast fuel tap. Any ideas? Its just started doing it.

Could be a lot of things my first thought would be start with ignition.
Check the readings with a multi meter, while this can give you a red herring ie readings correct but on its way out, its worth doing if it shows a fault. Take the wires out of the cdi and check condition, these can corrode up. If visually okay connect the multi-meter terminals, one to the Green wire (not the ignition on/off outer one) and one to the White wire. You should measure a resistance of between 400 and 500 Ohms. A figure of higher or infinite resistance suggests a break in either wire or a damaged failed low-tension coil. Connect white to red should be 93-120 if out puck up is the culprit. If all okay try a cdi of a running bike. Also check plug, lead and cap. Best of luck
