Hi there, I have a vespa px 125 2006 and I am considering putting a kit on it to give me a bit more power to get up some steep roads where I live. However, I get mixed reviews or feedback about doing this. One thing I hear is that it causes more wear on components and cab cause more issues. I don't use it as much as I use to. Just casual weekend rides really.
Hoping for some advice on this.
Brett

Have a look at the vmc 177 kit, they are good for a little extra, and won't break the bank, and won't put much extra stress on the motor. I run a bgm 187 and have gone mad on upgrade parts , but that's the other end of the scale. Or there is the dr180 kit, a little less tuned than the vmc

Adrian, I am thinking of going down the VMC/BGM route with my 125, possibly with a 60mm crank. When you fitted your kit and crank did you alter/enlarge the inlet port to increase the inlet timing or did the extra inlet from the crank suffice? Sorry to hijack the thread, Brett.

I opened up the inlet very slightly. But had to get cases welded to be able to open the ports up to the max. Combined with a 28 carb and good exhaust it's capable of 82 mph on the gps and pulls very well with bags of toque

Adrian, are you talking about welding the cases around the transfers?
