Redx in a 2T engine

Now I am just wondering about weather or not to clear out the engine with the Redx cleaner ?? Or to leave well alone? You see l do this once a year on my 4 stroke scooter and all is well after saves me time and money as these engine are well beyond my capabilities and hard to work on so a quick clean once a year does the trick !! any advice most welcome ✊

yeah...RedX is good for cleaning 2 stroke engines..burns off all the crap & won't damage the seals..been using it for 40+ years

👍 thanks for letting us know it's always best to get some good advice before moving forward is it best to put it in when the petrol is low to make sure it's going through properly and let it run out before filling up ?? Best regards soulboy74 ✊

i've always put it in when fairly low..loads'a white smoke for 10 mins or so,..then settles down,then fill up

These additives are arguable for cleaning valves and injectors in 4 stroke.
I cant see any benefit in the crude vespa vespa 2T
As easy just to clean the carb, filter and jets as part of a good servicing regime or after a long lay.
2 strokes dont coke up like they used to with modern fuels and if not badly over jetted.
My personal opinion is a waste of money

I have never used cleaning additives in any of my scooters, just decoke and clean exhaust with caustic soda

Yes I think I might as well just clean up the carb and leave it as is had a lot of negative feedback on Redx so best to leave it for now until I have more information thanks for the heads up 👍 going out today for a few miles nice morning check that jet 98 setting check the plug on return home l will do this each time not until I am sure it was the right one 👍 okay injoy your day best regards soulboy74
