No full range through gears ( previous T5 cutout post)

Hi,

Just managed to set up (there or thereabouts) the air / fuel mixture but when I run it it doesn’t get no where near the top end speed in each gear. It flat lines out and not covering the full range of each gear and struggles to get to 30mph in 4th gear! I cleaned the carb and cleaned the jets prior to doing this also.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Possible float and or needle ,the needle rubber worn ,thats a guess

Hi Dave,

Thanks for replying. I’m going to order a new needle as it has the line around the tip. I did notice a tiny piece of metal on the slide and there was a slight enlargement on one of the holes on the under side (can’t post pic too long winded!) not sure it’d that would effect it or not.
