I have a px headset (sorry can't add pictures) that is very weathered, sun bleached down to the aluminium and wish to keep it this way, so can I just clean it up a bit and spray it with lacquer? Or do I need special lacquer or something else

I think you can get away with a couple of coats of lacquer, not 100% though.

Just buy a decent lacquer not a cheap nasty Poundland can, And it will be fine

I have ordered some 2k lacquer in satin, wasn't cheap but should do the job, in the description said for industrial and agricultural purposes only, and not for automotive use, and had to tick a box saying that wouldn't use it for that, not sure what all that was about. So fingers crossed that I works out
