Hi there, I have been given a '59 VBA1T 150cc in various boxes, and I am attempting to piece it back together again for a friend. Most of the major parts are there, but it seems that all washers, rubbers, o-ring, nuts and bolts are missing. What I have is in this box.... I am looking at various manuals and website shops to try and identify what pieces go where. I have the engine together but I am struggling to find all the parts of the front suspension. I have located the bolt that attaches the arm to the column, but there seems to be some space between the arm and the column, and I have no reference as to what type of washer is used. Is it just the bolt with a washer (spring?) and a nut, or are there washers in the space either side of the column? This is the beginning of a long build. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Scott.

I built a VBA a few years ago now, the fork assembly is same as sportique and even the later Rally pretty well, you will find details in the old version of the Haynes vespa manual if you can get hold of one as this covered the sportique.
I’m not 100% sure where you mean but if it’s where the hub assembly meets the fork from memory there shoud be an O ring and a shim in there.
If you google vespa Rally fork diagram you will find an exploded view.

Any chance as you are putting together the bike that you could take a photo of up inside the horn cover where the front steering assembly meets the body? Just want to check mine against someone elses?

The width of the fork bracket is shorter than space between the hub. The SIP website uses the same exploded views from the RV Bryant official Vespa maintenance and service book, and they have a washer with flat edge on the brake side and a plain washer on the other. The diagram in the Haynes is different. The bolt itself has no external thread, but has a threaded hole instead for another smaller bolt and washer that clamps.
