Apologies but I'm not overly familiar with the PX range or indeed scooter electrics in general but I do understand electrics.
A friend has done some work to have his PX modified and part of that has been to swap the indicators out to LED strips. The panel strips for the rear weren't working and I've managed to wire them up correctly now, and with a 9V battery I can test them on each panel and everything seems fine.
When however we fit the panel, the indicators come on when selected but very dull and instead of flashing they just seem to flicker in time when you'd expect a flash. I thought the issue was the reduced current drawn through the LED's however he has fitted an LED flasher unit which, from what I have read, should effectively have an resistor built in to simulate normal bulbs.
When I've measured the voltage, using a multimeter between the panel 12V connection and earth I'm only seeing about 3-4V. What is likely to be the problem? Broken LED flasher relay? Wrong LED Flasher Relay? If so , can anyone suggest what relay is the best to buy?
