Hi guys, I've just fitted a DR177 kit to my 125 it has sip road 2 exhaust, si20/20 carb, standard air filter, I've tried various jets but it just seems to either splutter backfire and die or run badly I've set one of these kits up before and I've tried the exact same jetting and much more but I cannot seem to get it to run right any suggestions would be much appreciated 🙏🏻

Just reread some of your old posts, If it was my scooter I would have got it running with the 150cc top end first, before fitting the DR177 kit. Is it the same engine? The reason I ask is so members who care to answer ,don't need to waste their time diagnosing the engine again from scratch.

Hi, same engine, managed to get the 150 sorted then stripped the thread in the head (was almost stripped when I bought it) tried another head didn't work tried helicoiling the old head and it worked for a while then gave up so went to the dr177 kit ! 👍🏻

just sorted a dr kit . my jetting ended up as stock pilot, be5 atomiser , 116 main,140 air jet . that was with a 20/20 carb an simmoni pipe,so should be similar ,it was a bit hesitant at 3/4 throttle but drilling the filter cured that . H

I'm pretty sure it's electrical now as I went out to the shed last night to have another tinker and bang fires up 2nd kick and rides through all the gears and pulls beautifully went on 10 minute ride, this morning it's playing up again

if i'd of had 1 to hand i'd of stuck a 114 in , but didnt so tried a drilled filter an it was fine .owners done a couple of rallys so fars n says does 70mph on speedo an sits at 55 all day long .H
