Changed fly wheel seal and clutch side seal. New piston rings and laped carb bottom and cylinder head and barrell. Put new carb gasket on and started it up. Revs very fast so adjusted idle screw and you cant get it to run steady. If I spray carb cleaner under carb box and it stays the same. But if I spray under carb it revs higher. Made thicker gasket and put sealer onit and still have same problem. Torqued down right Be at it a week and getting a tad p*shed now. Help would be appreciated

carbs not sealing i guess , they can get warped by overtightening ,lapp it back flat on some wet/dry paper taped onto a mirror or glass . H

I have lapped the bottom of the carb and it sits flat on a glass sheet. Just cut new gasket and put some universal blue gasket jointing compound on both sides See if its any better

The carb could just be sucking in the carb cleaner. How far out is the mixture screw? Wind it out 4 or 5 turns and see how it runs, should be terrible and keep stalling.
