Almost every insurance company will have a 3rd party fire and theft policy for vehicles off the road.

I started out with insurance on my 2014 PX then added my T5 Millenium to the policy , as you can only ride one at a time it only went up £17 for the year ... admin charges for the change were more expensive @ £20 to alter the policy lol ...
I'm with Bennetts £139 for both fully comp with 7 years protected no claims (£160 excess on policy) ...

thanks for the reply's, i called them last night to renew my insurance for my p200 which is £200 plus break down cover, they say its so high because they believe the p200 has been modified and fitted with a 125 engine and is a specialised policy, after the half hour call i asked about adding this project to my policy but was told to phone customer services, i will give them a call later.

If it's not registered you won't get it insured on a normal policy until you are ready to get it registered, you can then get short term cover on the frame number only, usually for 30 days, during which time you can go get it motd and registered then confirm the reg number to the insurer.

Oh, multi bike policies calculate the premium based on the total value of the bikes insured, so if you add a T5 worth say £2k it may only add £20 the policy, maybe less, but if you'd do it part way through the year the admin charge will likely be more than the cost of the extra cover!
