Apologies as this will no doubt have been asked before, but what are the differences between a P200e and a P200EFL?
I'd always assumed that the P200e was solely a pre mix, but there's an '81 P200e on eBay now with Autolube π
Some also seem to have lock on side panels and some have clip on
Also Autolube engines have low compression heads?
All too confusing, arghhhh! LOL
All help appreciated π

Therealjaxson, to save a lot of typing, it would be easier if you googled the differencesπ.( not trying to be cheeky, mate) π
The p200e with autolube may be a USA model or it could be? what is known in the UK as a mark 1and a half or crossover, but if my memories right, I think the crossovers ( parts from a mark 1 and parts from the EFL model ) appeared late 1982 early 1983.

I did Google but that was again, all mixed responses, I was hoping there would be a definite list somewhere or Piaggio spec sheet maybe. The Scoot in question is an imported Italian model.
I'm guessing that Piaggio just gradually changed their models bit by bit with no major overhaul and no doubt different regions had different specs too.
No biggie, I prefer the raw pre mix Vespa models - I then know that oil is in the fuel rather than assuming it is with autolube - but as long as the body is what I want I could put up with an EFL π

Edit: some european p200s had battery as well, not sure about the autolube.

My mate Kenny has a USA P200e he brought back, after staying there for a few years. He had to get friends to send him an USA spec indicator relay over, as the post charged by USA scooter shops to the UK was too high!βΊ It also has a neutral switch built into the selector box and a neutral light in the Mrk1 speedo. The first 5000 or so P200es in the UK also had US spec speedometers with the neutral light in them.

I also remember the Number1 of my first club having a red P150x ' T' reg with a neutral light in the speedo, but don't remember if it had the switch in the selector box, don't think it did, tho. I owned it a few years later and put a P200e engine in it.πβΊ I know it's a P150x but it was the first one I saw with the neutral light in the speedo.π Ride safe

The neutral light was a US requirement - not sure why European spec. scooters would have miles per hour speedo's fitted, but I can understand why for the UK it would have been the same parts bin at the factory.

Thanks for the info guys, that's great Like I said, I'd prefer a non Autolube so that's what I'll look for (although beggars can't be choosers!) Also I think the non Autolube have slightly more powerful engines.
