The white border is flaking off. Can you get a replacement border or do I need to replace the whole thing? I've looked everywhere and can't find a speedo that looks like it They all have the speed on that border, mine is on the dial I do have this one but it's for a smaller diameter cable and has a different sized connector on the back

Let me guess loon... Ants?? 😆 try speedograph richfield or caerbont, they do classic car gauges and speedos mainly for cars though, as for you mushroom, they may be able to recondition yours?

for smiths an jaeger clocks theres a few companys in england ,1 by gatwick an speedy cables in swansea are good ,but not cheap.everything else goes to the "speedo king" ,cheaper but in usa so postage is a mare . have you thought of model shop airfix enamel paint mushroom , paint it back in . H

Speedy cables and caerbont are brother/sister companies, neither are open Friday's... Do you know anyone who does pin striping on hot rods? I go to the shows but I can't think of any pinstriping companies.

There's a striper in the VW scene called Nefarious, he's really good or Prosign but I think they could be an expensive option I might just go with model enamel

I've used him about 10 years ago for my VNB speedo, he was really helpful in sorting out a new needle for me
