seems OK to me, you need to get a good welder who knows how to weld aluminium. Whilst you are at it I would do a complete strip down, replace all seals, bearings, bolts, piston, barrel and head.

For me the season hasn`t started yet so I would be inclined to open it up and see what you are dealing with, you could be lucky and just bolt it in, replace the missing parts and it may work, it is a question of do you feel lucky? I bought an engine from a seller on gumtree and it did work, not perfect but it did work until it had a big sieze, due to wrong gaskets being used. I know people who have bought from internet sites and been told how great the engine was only to find it needed pretty much everything and they ended up spending a lot of money. it does seem cheap for a 200.

i was watching this engine lol, decent price, i dont think the case needs welded, mine was worse than that after i made an arse of splitting it, i used dirko gasket seal when i put cases back together.
Edit: just notice the bit broke off, i thought he ment were the case splits, my m8 has a 200 case broke at the same part, he ended up buying other cases without looking to much into getting it welded.

mb developments, mark does welding on crankcasrs am sending him photos Monday, will let you know what he says, can check out aluminium braising on youtube is easier if you have broken bits I'm told, but basically you need to heat up on gas Barbie and then use blow lamp and braising rod, must let aluminium cool slowly or will distort.
