would you need to cut or modify px engine mount to fit in lambretta frame?

a "vespbretta" , usual way is to alter frame not engine ,cut behind loop an fabricate a new sub-frame to accept a vespa engine . lots of work ,followed by lots of slagging , you better be a real-good welder an fabricator or know one ,an I dont count . they do look different/nice , but having done one years ago an knowing the grief it is ,nowadays consider it a wasted frame ,even if it is a "lame-bed-wetter" frame . seems to me that it would be a waste of a vespa engine and a waste of a lambretta frame!

i remember a mate chopping an sx200 and spending dosh on an opaque pearl flip flop light blue paint job took him years to get it back together then flogged it quick, yeah and i remember mod revival, bunch of posh kids prancing round in posh clothes their mum bought. and burgandy tanktops and staypress trousers, union jack blazers that should be outlawed . mullets and all the girls at school crying cause the jam split.

I swapped my old VHS video recorder for a cutdown '59 Li back in the late '80s (video recorder as worth about £100 at best)

Swapped a sound P range 1983 frame which I bought for £30, for a T5 cutdown frame with tank (87 I think), because I couldn't bring a grinder to the 83. Started stripping it back for paint... Bloody tank was 'fillered' in, along with the whole back half of the frame!! Still managed to sell it for £70 quid mind, but the buyer didn't believe me when I told him about the filler!! And showed him!! He built it within months and ran it for a year. Took it off the road for paint, and wondered how he never had a shock absorber suppository!! You just can't help some people!!This was 8-9 years ago.

shock absorber suppository ? , i like that one ,made me laugh . mate pulled up once an said "have a look its making a funny noise " .it was sat so low i didnt look underneath ,just lifted the seat an showed him were the shocker was trying to push thru by the seat pin ,on a sprint frame ,big bulge startin to tear .his answer "is that why it was so hard to get seat unlocked to fill up on way here" . had to walk away an sit down ,laughin that hard .
