Morning folks, I'd like to improve my rear suspension on my 2014 PX 125, I'm an athletic 16 1/2 stone 1970's style Rugby build and I'm after a more comfy ride.. some recommend SIP 2 - £160 are their any good options that don't cost as much or is it worth the buck and paying for SIP?
Many thanks

These seem real good value, how often/long have you all been using them?

Wow! I fitted the Carbone rear shock this morning and turned out adjuster to max setting....
What a massive difference in ride and comfort, it feels like a completely different bike.
Ta again for everyone's advice.

Definitely the most significant upgrade I've done. Totally transformed ride. No soggy rear end that feels like a sledge hammer when I ride over a piece of gravel, now it's a harder rear end that feels silky smooth going over bumps.

Had a great ride home from work at 01:40. I wonder how much influence the suspension has on "engine power/smoothness/efficiency" etc?
I remember seeing a guy cycle round the park on a mountain bike with suspension and he spent more time going up and down than he did going forward on a flat footpath....
The standard PX rear shock seems to me to have a similar effect, now I've fitted the Carbone my ride felt amazingly smooth & nippy. Perhaps it's the oil change last week? Perhaps it the rear shock? Perhaps it's my brain convincing me the money was well spent.
Either way it's such an amazing transformation.

I took a look on the sip website on these shocks, I saw they had a small disclaimer on them, not for road use. Is this right? Unfortunately the Mrs works in insurance so I have to be a little more careful.... Anyone else had any problems with insurance and these shocks?

Hi Ironsloth, to my knowledge they are not for road use in Germany as they have stricter laws. They say the same for the SIP 2.0 also but they are fitted in the U.K. without issue.

That would make perfect sense as to why it's on the SIP website and nowhere else.... Will be getting a set of these in January... Thanks fellas!
