Evening folks, I'm doing my first PX 125 (2014) oil change on the upcoming 5000km service, I saw a video of a Balaclava guy doing a tutorial and filling engine with engine cleaner post draining oil and running it prior to refilling it with new oil....
What are your thoughts folks? Worth doing? If so can you recommend a good one for my PX please?
Ta Muchly.

If the oil you drain out is dirty I would just do a couple of oil changes a week or two apart always draining from warm engine and that should clean it up, if the oil is continually dirty you may have other issues. Ian

I'd certainly not bother flushing it, you've not done a lot of miles really, as above, if it's really dirty and concerns you I'd do a couple of changes, if it looks and smells ok, single change will be fine.

Ta, I agree I doubt it is dirty, just curious as not seen this practice before. Will go for ride and chose my oil then do oil change when I get back.

First oil change went well, I bought Halfords 80W90 GL4 Gear Oil as same spec as the Piaggio recommended Agip one. Also bought stainless magnetic sump & filler bolts. Always enjoy riding after oil change, it also only works out at £1:50 for oil per change if I manage 4 x 250mls changes.
