Hi guys placed order for Heidenau K57 in stock on website paid then waited.......email arrived "tyres not available can we suggest an alternative "the alternative was the Heidenau K58 ok good tyre well liked on here ,more faffing have to apply for refund then buy again .......................then waited .....email eventually arrived "tyres not available can we suggest an alternative "the alternative was the continental WTF ........i can only conclude they don't have the tyres in stock they claim and whatever tyre they would have eventually sent would be the only tyre they actually have

I had the exact same issue with mytyres when ordering tyres for my car, I even phoned them to confirm they were in stock, ordered them online and instantly received an e-mail saying out of stock, and all sorts of rubbish over the phone "they are being shipped from Germany", "stock take at the warehouse so cannot find them till next week" etc etc Buy from a scooter shop or known good online supplier

"Buy from a scooter shop or known good online supplier"
absolutely spot on, whats so silly is i was the local guinea pig several mates with bike cars, family cars............Customer service is everything and it doesn't do the tyre manufactures any good ,i now associate my irritation with the tyres i didn't get,my natural reaction as per response is buy michelin s83s ,I ride 10 miles to buy my 2t oil from the vespa scooter shop ,they have given me great customer service that's how it works ,i can buy it 2 miles down the road
Glasgow Lambretta Scooter Shop have the michelin s83s,if anyone has a preferred supplier of tyres that's given good service post it and i,ll buy from them

I use Conti Twist tyres, I buy them from Lincs Lambrettas, just up the road from my house. Think they are £28 per tyre, and he always has stock. Get my oil from there too, Lucas two stroke oil, best I've ever used.

had the same recently when ordering k58's , got offered k28's instead an refused an got refund .2nd place same deal ,got offered k38's an said ok , then got email saying "sorry also out of stock, weve got k28's " .thought about it then said no , asked for refund an suddenly the k58's were back in stock .got em next day an happy with them . deal is , tyre sellers get a deal if they take whole range from manufacturers ,tyres have a shelf life , so if nobodys buying k28's there sat in wharehouse costing storage .an like scoots dealers get em free for 3 months then have to pay for em,sold or not . the k28's are basically a s83 copy , people wanting a stock/old-skool look buy s83's , the k's dont get a look in .H

I think you're right about mytyres messing you about re not having your choice in stock. Ironically I got good service from them because I needed an S83. I did manage to order an 8in instead of a 10 but mytyres sent me a 10 and collected the 8 and only charged the difference in tyre cost. It was all sorted in 2 days. I think it's luck of the draw with these online companies.
