I'm going to have to split my cases at some stage for bearings/seals etc. When I put the cases together do I need gasket goo or anything on the paper gasket. I'm assuming the existing gasket won't be re-usable.

Just the gasket. Buy newer style green gasket if available. Thin brown gasket may leak.

Right, I freely admit to being baffled. I fitted the new exhaust and after I finished I thought I'd check how much the gearbox oil level had increased from what I assumed to be a knackered oilseal. What did I find, nothing, nada. The oil level was absolutely normal. I can only assume in my old age I imagined I could smell fuel. Anyway the engine's sweet, the clutch and the gearbox are a delight. I feel I must ride my scoot until it blows to smithereens 😀
