Kickstarting my PX200 the weld holding the gear to the shaft broke! Think it is called the Kickstart Quadrant. I am having difficulty getting the parts I need from Vespa in South Africa? I will probably get here from other sources After Market Chinese bits but will not go that route.
I have to believe that most parts for a ten year old Vespa (2 or 4 Stroke) are available as Genuine Parts from Vespa in Italy.
Would this assumption be correct?
As I see it really all this has to be about is Vespa SA ordering the bits with their orders for spare parts (filters, switches, valves gaskets etc) to operate their business.
My question is, are parts such as the Kickstart Quadrant available as Genuine Vespa Parts from outlets in the UK?
I have found a company, AJ Sutton, advertising that they do parts (not sure if Genuine) but customers report that they pay for stuff supposedly in stoke and then get told that the parts are being sourced, sounds like a rip off. I notice a company called Genuine Vespa Parts on the Internet, anybody with experience with them?
Can anybody recommend a trustworthy Dealer who might be able to supply the bits I need and ship them to me.
As a final comment which if correct would make obtaining this part in SA really ridiculous is I think that the PX150, now available again here new, uses the same Kickstart Quadrant as my PX200?
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

aj sutton , wont ever use them again , for many reasons . a px quadrant is common to px80/125/150/200 an the cosa ,all identical . new ones from sip/scooter centre are around ,22 pattern parts , or £33 genuine ,plus postage .to be honest i'd suspect there both made in same indian factory an genuine ones put in a piaggio box .indian suppliers on e bay will probably match the quality an beat em on price n postage . or a genuine 2nd hand one from here or other forums/facebook or local to you . think ive 1 or 2 kicking in the shed will have a look . I would go with second hand personally, I don't really trust that any 'genuine parts' are indeed genuine or as good as the OE part fitted.
If Henri doesn't have what you need, Steve at Jersey Scooter Centre will, he is very reasonable and international shipping is cheap with Jersey being tax free. I'll mail you his mobile.

If scooter center say "oem quality", it is pattern part. Genuine Piaggio parts are called Piaggio parts.

As "henry" said, you never know until you see it. It may be from the same factory, or then it's not. I'd like to believe that Piaggio choose trustworthy parts, even if it was made in cheaper country. "OEM quality" wheels from scooter center where "FA Italia", terrible those was.

i had a pair of Italia rims and couldnt get a S1 to pop over the rim and sit right , so i inflated to 50/55psi and gave them a bounce , when i looked at them they had a 3mm gaps on the inside of the rim where the rims bolted to the hub , i called the dealer and he said deflate them bolt them on the hub and reinflate LMAO as they had done the same !! quality parts !!
