As a nostalgia thing I bought at PX 200 new in 2007. Other than when I take it round the block it basically lives all wrapped up and is like new. There are a couple of things I notice 1.) I get a lot of oil around the carb box, it looks not to be the blue 2Stroke Oil but rather like gear oil! Is there any way gear oil can get up there. 2.) I think there is a bad earth somewhere as the starter does not turn the motor with a lot of energy and I notice when I indicate that the flickers are not that bright and I see one of the lights in the speedo, is it the green low beam headlight indicator, dims in time with the flashing indicators. Is there a problematic earth connection anyone knows of on the Bike. WhitePX200

Common to get 2 stroke around the box from where the carb has flooded, if it is def gear oil then it may be coming from the breather on top of the clutch cover, that is the highest point on the engine where gear oil could come from. Check the gearbox not overfilled?

as bryno says about the oil, its common for new scoots to come set up rich for safety in the running in time .that can lead to excess oil/petrol gathering around the carb box .an over filled gearboxes arent unheard of either ,oil gets thrown out the breather above carb box in that case . the slow starters most probably underuse leading to a battery thats losing its charge in storage, 1% of charge per day stored,an batterys not kept charged sulphur up an wont take a full charge again . but could also be a poor earth from corrosion on the terminals ,same with indicator warning light . I think oil pump isn't adjustable in any ways. At least in my PX200 it isn't.
But the gasket under the carb box leaked when I bought my PX.
