Hi all,, well today went from being a straight forward job to a bloody nightmare!!
Trying to take the flywheel off and the puller completely shredded the threads leaving the flywheel left on and NO way of getting the thing off!!
I need some serious advice on how to get this issue sorted i.e pulling the bloody thing off without damaging the crank??
I will have to replace the flywheel I know but worried about the crank.

You tried another puller? Sometimes they are not totally gone. I am sure we have a thread on getting flywheels off without a puller. Don't worry is easy possible. You will need a new flywheel though. Cheap one of ebay or something lighter?

damm n beggeration , if another puller wont catch any threads left you'll need to beg/borrow/hire a 2/3 leg hub puller ,trick is to wind em on an when tight a sharp tap on bolt head will shock fly of the taper.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gear-Puller-3-Leg-Hub-Bearing-Removal-Pulley-Tool-Set-3-4-6-Internal-External-/121902746309?hash=item1c61f84ac5:g:DTEAAOSwPc9W1pjX . someting like this ,ok . Ive got out of a muddle by; wiring brushing the threads on the puller to ensure they're clean. Use plumbers ptfe tape around the puller Make sure to take off the washer behind the flywheel nut. Make sure to thread the puller on perfectly straight, keep an eye on it as you wind it in. Wind it all the way in try again
