After nearly a year sitting in my shed I have now fitted my dr177 kit It has made a big difference on the long incline on the way home from work I it feels much livelier, but it feels like it could give more. I have a drilled air filter and it has a sito plus what size jet should I be using ? Would a bigger carb do anything Cheers Mart

off top of my head a main jet in the 110-114 range should be bout right ,start at biggest an see how it is .then work down by plug colour so plug turns from black to golden-brown . a bigger carb will just use more fuel unless other works done .H

If your on a 20/20 a 110 to 114 Main should be highest you need over that id consider a 24 mil carb as jet becomes too big for carb causing bogging down over rev and fuel waste id consider a 114 on a 20 mill pushing it but ported head would cope
