Hello everybody. I've got a px 125 with a sip road 2.0. With drilled filter. I found it works best with 106 main jet. 104 kicked arse but got hot. Anyone else found the same? 106 seems a bit large . Plug looks dry enough. Any views welcomed. Thankyou.

The advice I was given on here (am just about to do the filter mod) is to err on the side of caution. If you got too hot with a 104 (you don't want a seize), then the 106 may be your best bet. Though I do remember someone on here, possibly H, mentioning odd-number MJs being available? You say your plug looks dry, but what colour is it? Much more technical minds than mine say the optimum colour is ginger nut on the 'biscuit scale'. Post up a pic of your plug, the clever guys on here will keep you right

every engines different ,keep that in mind . my usual is up 2 numbers on the main for a sip road , on a auto-lube px125 thats 96 to 98 , but will always start at another jump-up , 100 an see whats up . same with drilling the filter ,up 2 numbers an see . by my usual that would take you to 104 an a look-see . get some miles in an see how the 106 is doin . as weather warms you might find it will settle back to a 104 being better ,but the 106 will be safer .H

That's good to hear as that's what I was thinking my self. Plug colour was a very light chocolate brown with 104 and darker still brown but definitely darker with 106. Odd jet size could be an option. When I get time I will test the plug and if I'm still in doubt I will post a pic . Thanks guys

the difference between a 104 and a 106 is 0.02mm and it will always be better to run slightly rich than spot on ive found a 110 worked really well. But as H says all engines are slightly different and what is spot on for one might be off in another.

Tested the plug today but can't upload pics as it says file to large. I'm useless at technology. 104 got hot. plug a bright orange . 106 engine not as hot plug a darker orange. So I think it is 106 I tried 108 but it 4 stroked all over the place and didn't like a low tick over.... Cheers guys if I work out the pic problem I will post to see if more experienced eyes see something else!!
