Ok guys I put new rings in the Dr kit as I was getting a bit too much slap from old ones ran them in all was fine for a week or so then I got a soft seize at 55 striped it down looked like minor heat seize very minor damage to piston cleans it up get it going all's well doing 55 down road it does it again.so took full kit off put on a second hand 150 5 port New piston rings bearing runs it all in at 30 to 35 for a week about 100 miles open her up to 45 for about 5 mins tops gets another soft seize now I can't go above 35 without risk of seize i get a few seconds warning before it seizes so I can clutch it to road side before seize it's like it's run out of fuel for a brief few seconds then will seize no running 150 5 port 20/20 carb 112 main sito+ pipe

Really un-fortunate. I wouldn't ride it anymore until you know what it is. Could be an oil seal or air leak? Sounds like the exact same symptoms.

Checked oil no fuel in it so seal is good carb has no leaks head has no leaks . It's sat in shed till I can find problem bugger was fine till I spent a lot of cash restoring it even bought a 2012 engine with 3000 miles on it I'm going to swap out the carb for my spare one at weekend see if carb is faulty

If you've excluded air leaks and seals, how about fuel flow-rate from tank? - Showing at higher demand? Tap partially blocked after disturbance during build? Kinked/restricted fuel line? Checked carb filter and jets? I know it's not really causes of seizing, but you had the obvious ones last night; I'm trying to think how else you'd get too little fuel for air.

Could be tap and poor fuel flow I haven't checked tap filter yet all jets are clean I am thinking carb faulty as it runs poor at low rev spits and chokes at 30 black and wet kak on end of pipe but runs ok when demanding power.I've left it in shed for now and I'm sat in airport ready to sod off to Spain with are lass for a week

No gillie I always pre mix done some jet juggling and atomiser changes new piston kit is in it seems to be holding it's own now but I need to get a few low speed miles done to bed it all in before any final jet changes if there needed.so untill I can go above 35 I can't realy tell if all is well but on the up side i have plenty of spare carb parts.a ported 150 5 port head 3 pistons and a pile of rings as spares and Just picked up a t5 frame and log book with loads more spares from Birmingham for a bargain 175 quid.Only been back off hols 3 days and mi sheds full
