its a b7es, done 170 mile of breaking my rebuilt engine in, using 3% oil premixed, does it look a bit hot?

I would say it looks a bit hot but not too far off. different people have different ideas about how to do a plug chop it is not an exact science, however I am a believer in a little bit rich is better than a little bit lean. As you are still taking it easy on the newly built motor you will not have fully used the main jet to it`s full potential and you will be using the primary carb circuit more as you will have been using low revs so this may not be an accurate way of testing plug colour, I still think it is a little bit lean but it may need larger slow running jet. Hopefully some of the other guys on here will have good info

That plug is looking about right, mixture is certainly not lean. Generally lean is white on the tip. And just about to blow up is light silver grey.
That plug isn't getting hot enough though. Next time put in a B6ES

so it should be ok to ride breaking in period? i mean it wont do any harm? i will experiment with plugs and other stuff as the summer passes, gonna leave the drilled filter for next summer

Will be ok till you buy the next plug. A B6ES will just make it run better.

Yeah agree. Don't look too bad. Get a new plug and keep an eye for the first few furious rides.
