Hello there. I have a PX 200 that is nearly a year old. Recently I noticed a split in the front left hand corner of the real left cowling. I phoned my dealer who said dont worry its a warranty issue. He had seen this before apparently. He said that he will sort it out.......any way cut a long story short he has fixed it or so he said It has re appeared again !!!!!!! My question is, has any one heard of this or had it happen to them. If so any advice. Thanks in advance ;D Rods

Sorry, no idea about your cowling.
Just curious about your PX200 being a year old .... I thought they stopped making them quite a few years back and that there were only 125s available new?
Not sure why I think this though!

Hello there Devo. I have been living in Australia for the last year and you can still get them here. Although I think they are still old stock because mine was first logged as landing here in 2005. I don't think I could cope with a 125 out here as nothing is just down the road...everything is 40 minutes away and i live in one of the built up areas!!!!!!!! I have been looking in to trying to get my px back when i move back to the uk but I am not sure what my chances are. Still you've got to try haven't you.

The left hand panel (spare wheel side,) always splits eventually, pain in th ar*e but it always seems to happen. To try and stop it splitting any further all you can do is drill a small hole at the beginning of the split to stop it going any further and cover it in touch up paint. Another alternative is to never take your panel off again!

Joey Yep Spare wheel side. Got to say I am a bit jarred by this, but your the third person who has told me that they have had this happen. Not sure what to do now. What are the chances of it getting worse ?? What size hole would you say I need to drill. If the dealer cant fix it properly this time round and by the sounds of it its probably only going to happen again.
Cheers

It happens on ALL P Range spare wheel side panels at some stage so I'm surprised that I'm only the 3rd person to say it's happened??? At the very tip of the split drill a small hole. 4 or 5 mm and this should stop the split getting any worse.
