Well my son has stripped a clutch cover thread on his px 200 and is currently having to manage with it attached with 2 bolts. Will it need welding and re-tapping or can it be helicoiled.

If it were mine I would try a threaded insert, the clutch cover bolts don't need to be super high torque.

That's reassuring, a little kits about £20 on eBay. Can anyone tell me the thread size so I can order the right one.

erm , ok ya got me ,havent 1 to hand to measure so not sure .but a 1mm pitch is metric fine an as the original was into ali cases would of been a coarse pitch . end of the day if you get a bolt that matches the heli-coil kit you use it will work . that is until ya son mixes up the bolts nxt time he fiddles with his clutch cover .will have a look in shed an see if i can find some bolts to measure an cases to try em in . H

I tapped one of mine out to M7 as it had been butchered by a previous owner
