Hi all,, I've just acquired an 80's Pikeck exhaust to try on my PX ,, Now after attaching onto the the scoot and starting the engine my ears where bloody almost blown off with the loudness!! Are these exhausts built to be loud and do they have any baffle/packing ,, by the looks of the end can it can be opened up (3 rivets) but should it have any packing? ? ,,, I was told these exhaust's where the mutts nuts back in the day...

What was the mutts nuts in 1980 something, may not be quite premier league 30 years on :-)
If you can take the can apart you can add some wadding to it (bike shops sell it), that is presuming it has a central tube inside the can with holes punched in the sides. The original wadding will probably be long gone now. Experiment with how much to use, if you put too much in the sound won't get absorbed, so a bit of trial and error.
