Hi All, new to the site but it looks great. Maybe some of you technically minded out there can help with my PX210 problems. Bought the bike 18 months ago with malossi 210 barrel and piston already fitted. Someone had ground the crank down to alter inlet timing and it clearly wasn't working properly. Well known scooter tuner advised open casing and see what was happening. I totally rebuilt the engine with new crank seaqls etc but I decided to convert to a reed valve system while I was at it. I was recommended the malossi reed valve set up which I think was a mistake. Put it all togethor and was running well. Had it dyno tested at 20.5BHP. But then problems started. The Dellorto carb kept blowing out of the silly malossi rubber mount and landing on the barrel. I put togethor a home made braket to keep it inplace. The fuel started blowing back out the carb and down my rear wheel. Now the malossi reed manifold gasket has blown. The compression in the crankcase is obviously high as it should be but the malossi reed system doesnt seem to be able to take it. Has anyone come across this before? The timing was set on the dyno test so it should be right. I forgot to mention that I also fitted a dellorto fuel pump when I fitted the reed valve. An old italian Vespa mechanic in Australia once told me that Vespa's are great left as standard but totally unreliable when tuned. I am starting to think he is absolutely right. Any suggestions much appreciated. Cheers
