I've attempted to put to put back the front suspension back on my sprint,Now I've got to putting on the new shoes but the wheel hub won't go back on as if the shoes are too big. I've sanded them down a bit but still the same my mate suggested I cut one of the shoes back were the spacer clips is . Any advise.

ive seen unbranded pattern shoes to thick to go on a few times , an once resorted to leaving clips off to get them to fit , i needed the scoot running an couldnt get new decent shoes for a week , was really surprised how much wear on the ali shoe from pivot in just a week an wouldnt advise doing same apart from in a "get ya home" emergency. am thinking if you cut shoe back it will affect the circumference of the circle shoes make an they will fit ,but also might reduce the contact patch on braking ,making them weak brakes til there well more worn an can be spaced back out . my advice would be to bin the over fat shoes an buy quality ones that will fit ,i favour newfren for my scoots ,H

a mm wont affect the braking contact patch enough to be noticeable i reckon , so jobs a gud un , now get out n test the brakes an do some miles , H
